Aranzazu

Arantzazu has been from 16th century up to now, not only a very popular religious centre but also a cultural spot for contemporary arts and thinking.  The building of the new Basilica in the 50s of the 20th century put together a very relevant artistic pool (the architect Sez de Oiza, sculptors such as Oteiza, Chillida or Lucio Muñoz, the painter Basterretxea and so on) making from the Sanctuary  a first class monument.
